Diego Celli
Dr. Diego Celli is an interventional cardiologist dedicated to helping patients protect and restore their heart and vascular health. His practice is built equally around the two conditions he sees most often: coronary artery disease and peripheral arterial disease, including advanced limb salvage for patients facing the risk of amputation from severe circulation loss. He also treats mechanical circulatory support needs, chronic venous conditions, and structural heart disease, and provides comprehensive general cardiology care for patients at every stage of heart health. Dr. Celli has a special interest in prevention and longevity, helping patients build a proactive plan to protect their cardiovascular health for years to come.
Dr. Celli earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, graduating as valedictorian of his class. He completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Northwestern University, an internal medicine residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, and his cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute — consistently ranked among the top cardiovascular centers in the country — at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, with focused additional training in peripheral vascular and endovascular intervention. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI), and certified by the National Board of Echocardiography.
Dr. Celli joins My Cardiologist, seeing patients at the Miami Lakes and South Miami offices. He believes patients deserve clear answers and a treatment plan built around their life, not just their diagnosis, and he is passionate about catching peripheral vascular disease early, before it threatens a limb, and about helping patients stay ahead of heart disease altogether. Outside the clinic, he is an active voice in cardiovascular education, having authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and presented at national and international conferences. Dr. Celli speaks English and Spanish, and welcomes patients from all backgrounds.
